Make your own gingerbread house biscuits

These adorable little gingerbread houses are great fun to bake, and decorate, and make a lovely personal Christmas gift too. Why not have a go at baking them with your child during the Christmas holidays as a fun way to pass an afternoon?
Recipe taken from The Very Best Baking Book for Children, £17.99.
To make approximately 10 biscuits:
350g (12oz) Plain Flour
1.5 teaspoons of ground ginger
1 teaspoon of bicarbonate of soda
100g (4oz) butter
175g (6oz) muscovado sugar
1 medium egg
2 tablespoons of golden syrup
Writing icing, sweets and sprinkles
Heat your oven to 180C, (350F) or gas mark 4 and place in 2 baking trays.
