Press reviews

Thank you, Usborne, for producing a series of books that really work, that see story and content as important as skill level, and are genuinely engaging for children (and adults- I’m having a great time too!) Thank you for teaching my daughter to read.

This is just what I was looking for. My three year old is very keen to start reading and is learning the connection between letters and sounds - he can't actually read right now, but the simple rhymes in the book make it easy for children to remember the words. He has taken ownership of the right hand side of the book and 'reads' the words himself with his finger under them. The story is great - though there is one page that doesn't scan very well. My son also enjoys the puzzles at the back of the book. We shall be buying more - I hope the others in the series are as good as Pirate Pat.
