When she wasn’t out riding her bike or making things out of loo rolls and scraps of fabric, Ruth Brocklehurst spent much of her childhood reading – especially historical novels and whodunits. Since joining Usborne in 2000, she has written and edited countless books on everything from craft activities and history, to creative writing, space exploration and dinosaurs. If she could go back in time she’d like to meet Mary Queen of Scots.
From Mayan temples in Mexico to albatross in Antarctica, you can explore the four corners of the globe while still tucked up in bed.
The maps here provide the perfect inspiration to would-be adventurers.
Geography: children can find it boring, right? Well, not if they have this picture atlas, which takes readers on a cartoon-illustrated tour of the world, cramming lots of child-friendly facts on the thematically organised pages.
Childrens Picture Atlas
Fantastic my daughter loves looking at this book and searching for the different buildings etc. She has seen adverts on the TV about starving children and refugees, and I was able to explain to her where these people are in the world. Really Really Good.

A great atlas especially the pictures and I absolutely LOVE finding the pictures at the end of reading the information! The maps on each page are great too!
